Mother of Asphalt
Synopsis
Mare is a young woman who is aware that her marriage is irrevocably falling to pieces. In her intention to get out of that situation, her husband Janko "helps" her when, overwhelmed by his own inability to save their relationship, he hits Mare. That blow finally forces Mare to take her son and leave. She is aware of all the traps hiding in her brave act, but for the first time in her life, she doesn't want to succumb to problems, and instead of the dead alley in which her marriage has fallen, she chooses the cold city streets on which she will have to think of a way to protect her child and find a new home for two of them. Mare will encounter the general rejection and she will try to present their ordeal to her son as a game. And while Janko slowly realises his own mistakes, the only comfort to the mother and the child will be offered by a person yearning for human touch, warmth and family, the lonely security guard Milan.
